Hickory, Asheville & Online


Founded in 1891, 91³Ô¹ÏÍø is a co-educational, private liberal arts institution that serves 2,686+ students and offers 45+ undergraduate degree programs and 20+ graduate degree programs. 

Our main campus is in Hickory, North Carolina, where both undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered. The university also offers graduate degree programs at our location in Asheville, North Carolina as well as online. Our seminary, Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, is also located in Hickory. 

LR is affiliated with the North Carolina Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and welcomes students from all religious denominations.
